There are no limitations to accessing the venue, and it is fully wheelchair accessible. The venue provides wheelchair accessibility with features such as ramp access and lifts. All individuals, including those using wheelchairs, will have no difficulty accessing and navigating the ground floor of the venue.

Parking:

Parking at the Burwood Campus of Deakin University is available for free during the weekend. However, it's important to note that parking availability may vary depending on the specific time and demand.

Public Transport:

If you prefer using public transport to reach the campus, there are several convenient options. The Gardiners Creek trail provides a scenic route for walking or cycling during the day, allowing you to enjoy a picturesque journey to Burwood Campus.

For those relying on public transport, the easiest route is to take a tram or bus. The 75 tram, which runs between Vermont South and Central Pier Docklands, has a stop (#63) located directly in front of the University on Burwood Highway.

Alternatively, you can take a train to Box Hill Station and then catch a connecting bus from there to reach the Burwood Campus.

Using public transport is a convenient and efficient way to access the campus, providing you with various options based on your location and preferences.

Catering:

Yes, catering will be provided for the event. We have partnered with a professional catering service to ensure that attendees have access to delicious food and beverages throughout the weekend. The catering service will be available for the entirety of the event, offering a range of options to accommodate different dietary preferences and requirements.

Event Information

Deakin University facility will be open for competitors on Saturday from 10:00am to 08:00pm, and Sunday from 10:00am to 08:00pm. During these hours, competitors will have access to our facilities, including Wi-Fi, and dedicated research/brainstorming spaces.

To ensure that competitors have a seamless experience, full catering will be provided throughout the weekend competition at Deakin. We have partnered with a catering service to offer a diverse range of food and beverages. If you have any special dietary requirements, please make sure to include these details when registering, so we can accommodate your needs.

Furthermore, free parking is available on our campus, allowing competitors to conveniently park their vehicles without any additional cost.

We aim to provide a comfortable and well-equipped environment for all competitors at Deakin University, and we look forward to hosting the event.

Friday 18 August 2023 - Opening Ceremony:

We’re consolidating this year’s Friday Opening Ceremony for Victoria to be held in-person at Infosys.

Victoria competitors, both Infosys and Deakin event participants, are welcome to attend the InfoSys location on Friday night for our opening ceremony.

We will be also streaming Friday’s Opening Ceremony via Zoom for those who cannot make it to the space.

Digital participants have a different setup, but are welcome to tune into Zoom.
