Youth Support:

We will register all participants through their photo ID on arrival, as we will have security on the door to ensure safety and security for the work space.

Parking:

Ample parking around streets, however, Saturday morning can be a challenge with markets on across the road.

Public Transport:

Those that do attend that are from school age groups (16 being the youngest) will be representing schools and will be covered under their requirements. However, in addition we will be requesting a written parent/guardian consent for those 16 and 17 years old.

Refreshments will be available across the entire weekend.

Event Information

The Backhouse will be open for the opening ceremony from 6pm on Friday to broadcast the national opening from Auckland and join in with a local karakia recognising the roots of Govhack Aotearoa right here in Whanganui. Join in for pizza to hear more and find local team mates.

Device a barrier? The Whanganui District library has laptops for use!

Depending on local teams, we will provide support and space over the weekend including refreshments to keep you going.

There is parking around the venue. Please make sure you bring some photo ID so we can check you in and maintain your safety across the weekend.
