Project Description
Our Mission:
To harness integrated data on socio-economic conditions, education, youth vulnerability, gambling exposure, crime, health, and marketing influences to identify risks, inform policy, and implement targeted interventions that reduce gambling harm and promote community resilience.
Description:
This initiative leverages data-driven insights to reduce gambling harm and strengthen community resilience across Victoria. It integrates socio-economic indicators, education quality, youth vulnerability, gambling exposure, crime rates, and other addiction trends with factors like marketing influence, accessibility of gambling venues, and health outcomes. By combining these dimensions into a unified risk model, the project supports evidence-based strategies for prevention, targeted education, and policy interventions that protect at-risk communities and promote long-term social well-being. Our prototype can help government officials to leverage the pool of data to monitor trends based on LGAs and based on the factors they choose and as mentioned above.
