LivCity is an application that allows a city to gain community sources information on selected areas. This app functions by an administrator or researcher selecting an area to question, this could be for example regarding air pollution, traffic, safety, waste and more. Using feedback from the community, the appropriate authorities can develop needed infrastructure in areas or appropriate social services, greatly improving the efficiency, usefulness, and bringing innovation to the community.
In certain scenarios for example if traffic lights need to be replaced in an area the administrator may post contracts to replace the traffic lights, companies can bid on these contracts and whoever gives the best proposal will win the contract.
Users will be presented with a notification with a questionnaire to fill out regarding the area they have just visited, once these have been answered the user is then moved to a chat bot for more extensive issues. The app may also question the user on their own personal experience of their mental health during lockdown, this will provide useful information to the scientific community.
The users will be able to view relevant data through the application, this data will be sourced from government data sets and data that is generated from the community.
This app will not only give the government a deep view into our cities, roads, reserves and public spaces but it will also provide views of the people and their collective state of mind. There is also an economic advantage of this app as repairing and creating new infrastructure can be done in a more efficient and innovative way.
