Inspired by Nicholas Biddle's 2014 paper, Measuring and Analysing the Wellbeing of Australia's Indigenous Population, this app visualises correlations between cultural education in schools and life satisfaction. It provides an interactive platform to explore how cultural engagement relates to wellbeing outcomes.

Data Story

The tool focuses on Closing the Gap Target 14 (mental health & suicide reduction) and Target 16 (languages & culture), by using the Department of Education Indigenous Education Datasets to show how cultural indicators correlate with wellbeing outcomes.

By enabling users to interactively explore correlations and patterns across regions and time, the project provides evidence-based insights that are scalable, transparent, and immediately useful to government agencies and Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations.
