Project Description

Prove.IT is an app to assist Queenslanders in keeping up with the rising demand for digital skills in the workforce. It acts as an alternative to resumes where people can be potentially hired based on the quality of the work they’ve submitted through the app. The app allows people and businesses to connect and create a remote working environment where specific skillsets such as machine learning and data visualisation are needed. People who are skilful enough but lack the opportunity to express their abilities will now be able to with the help of Prove.IT. Companies will be able to release their datasets and information that they want to be analysed and people will be able to download and submit their analysis of it.

Data Story

The data used as the basis for this project was Website statistics – Employment and Jobs. Through analysis of the provided data, we found a lack of IT job searches between 2013 and 2014. However, due to innovation and advancement in technology, IT jobs had significantly increased through the years and become increasingly more prevalent today. We found data from Australian Bureau of Statistics that explained that more than 40% of employees are working remotely as of 2021 this led us to conceptualise the platform that can give people the ability to find employment outside of the standard interview process.
