Project Description
VSafeRoute is an AI-powered web application designed to improve cycling safety and infrastructure in Victoria. By integrating Victoria Crash Data with the Principal Bicycle Network (PBN) data, the app identifies high-risk routes for cyclists and provides data-driven insights to guide infrastructure modifications. These insights enable urban planners and policymakers to make evidence-based decisions, promoting safer and more sustainable cycling routes. The project aims to enhance the state's cycling corridors, reduce accident hotspots, and encourage cycling as a sustainable mode of transportation.
